Oooo hale yes. I'm doing Marie Antoinette, as you guys already know, and considering I'm terrible at keeping my own secrets, and considering I've already talked about it a bazillion times, no. Anyway, the purpose of this post is to really just vent about my poverty & my love for: ( Lanvin S/S 2010 )( Yohji Yamamoto S/S 2010 )( Rick Owens S/S 2010 )Also, I hate that I wake up this morning, decide that tonight is going to be my ONE NIGHT OUT OF THE MONTH TO GET TRASHED, then I take a nap this afternoon, and my boyfriend wakes me up to say, "HEY, BE OUR DD TONIGHT COS WE'RE ALL ALREADY DRUNK D:" Of course I love my bf/sister/brother too much to say no, but fkdalfad;. I'm going to treat myself to some socks and tights this weekend. My current black ones have no elasticity and are wrinkling around my knees for the ultimate grandma effect.

| Proper picture of my new hair and jacket! I had lost my camera battery charger for a few weeks but finally found it again. Also, my roots aren't that bad, my hair is just kind of dirty and the lighting is bad! | |
|
| Total 180 with the hair. I was actually aiming for something longer, but god knows I needed the shorter length. Well, there you have it. I am no longer a redhead (although remnants still remain). Mark: You are going to have to take a new profile picture, because that's not you anymore. Also pictured: my new jacket from Anthropologie! | |

| Scored these from Target for $8. Sweet deal, amirite? ( Some art + pics )ETA Terrible news. My little sister's psychotic dog, Rusty, bit Tomo on the neck this morning. She was eating out of his food bowl, of which he's EXTREMELY protective. We don't know if she's going to make it. According to my parents, she hasn't been bleeding a lot, but we think she might be blinded. :( God, I hate that dog for so many things, and this is just one more reason. ETA2 Dad says kitten is regaining its vision. Vet can't do anything about it, so all we can do is wait. | |

| So I don't believe I mentioned yet how much I love Beautiful Dreamer (the Urusei Yatsura movie by Oshii Mamoru). I've watched it twice already, once alone, and again with Mark, who also loved it. The entire time we were watching it, I kept glancing sideways at him, and he had the cutest dimpled* smile on his face. I've also downloaded Perfect Blue and Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea for us to watch! I don't see him until tomorrow though. *I say dimpled, but really he has a scar on his face that's not visible, but the nerves are dead, so it dimples when he makes any expression. He's pretty particular about me calling it a scar. Oh ok. I bought Chrono Trigger yesterday from the beautiful palais, and I'm so stoked to get it. Every time I passed Gamestop in the mall, I checked to see if it's cheaper than $30, and yesterday (before I saw her LJ post) I was looking at it on eBay for a cheaper copy, with no luck! I'm also getting this dress: ( Read more... )because I tried it on in the store and it fit perfectly and I need a maxi dress for the summer. Also, surprisingly, VS's bras fit me so incredibly well (they used to fit me horribly) that I might have to go back and get some. :x | |

| I started sculpting a Model Magic prototype of Midna and it actually might look like her when I'm finished! I really love how interactive Twilight Princess is; sledding, balls and chains - they really thought of everything. I lucked out again today; classes were canceled through noon due to "inclement weather" (icing over of all roads and cars), and I only have one class past noon (drawing at 6:30) This class was just canceled too - LUCKY. I still had to do my Japanese history homework, which wasn't really a hassle. Even though our class meets at a physical location, we have to post on the discussion board before every class, and one kid asked, "Do you agree that... [women are subordinate] because they lack genitals?" >>women... lack genitalsSo I took it upon myself to break the news to him that women do in fact have genitals, it's just a penis that they lack. This is the same class where one kid introduced himself by saying that he attended A-Kon every year, which, according to him, is the "biggest anime convention in the world". Okay. Um, sure. Also, last night, Laure's boyfriend offended me when I remarked that Chanel made a guillotine, and he asked me, "Do you even know what a guillotine is?" Oh, je m'excuse. Madame la guillotine? Qui? Je ne connais pas, même si j'ai pris une classe de Tocqueville, et quatre ans de la langue française! ( Read more... ) | |

| I spent some of my Barnes & Noble gift certificate on: Romeo and Juliet, which I've actually never read! (Hard for me to believe since I've actually read a lot of Shakespeare) The Scarlet Pimpernel as par seed_of_fire's recommendation The Aeneid by Virgil, another book I've always meant to read
And now, for the photo post:

I love my Wolford tights; they're warm and the texture is great. HOWEVER, they bunch up a little behind my knees (they're not as elastic as nylon, I guess) and they've already started to pill. They're beautiful, though; I love the look of solid white tights (I bought the Merino wool solids), even if they aren't as slimming as black. I'm actually trying to get used to wearing things that don't necessarily make me look taller or thinner, because I'm tired of looking gaunt, honestly. ( Read more... )

| The new airport update has made my internet connection even worse, so sorry if I don't respond to any comments. Finals start this week, and as much as I love school, I'm pretty excited to be done with this semester, and I just want to work and earn money for a few weeks. My boss says he's going to try and schedule my sister and I for 40 hours a week, which would be AMAZING because there are so many things I want right now. My wishlist for my family is pretty short though: gift cards to Joann's, Ikea, & Target, and then Spongebob on DVD. Seriously - Mark and I keep quoting Spongebob and since I don't have cable, we can't get our fix. I worked on my Nia costume last night and finished the skirt, although it's wayyy to big (I never get how this happens??). I want to start on the top right away, but ahhh, I just don't have the money for fabric. ;( Anyway, on to some recent photographs: I cleaned up my room yesterday (intensely), and here's what I did with my bookshelf. You can see the Catherine Deneuve magazine that Hana got me from France - it still needs a frame, but it will probably hang right next to the hats.

| Now that school is practically over, I'm going to try and catalogue my outfits more often. We'll see how diligent I am about this. WIWT'ers and Flickr friends will have already seen this! Blah I hate my face in this pic. Jacket - Buffalo Exchange Shirt (barely pictured) - BCBG Skirt - handmade Shoes (not pictured) - black ballet flats from Target | |

| Last week, the girl with the red lolita coat that I mentioned some time ago said she loved the way I dressed~ She said she really liked my collection of socks/stockings, and of course, I say stupidly, "Oh these? They're just my boyfriend's!" (I was wearing some black ones with red pants at the time). She was actually talking about these grey thigh-highs, though! I was extremely flattered because she's adorable and always dresses interestingly. Gray thigh highs with Orla Kiely dress Nordstrom fake cashmere scarf and pink bow clip borrowed from my boyfriend's younger sisterI hope she wasn't put off by my awkwardness! Speaking of Japanese class, today I received information on the study abroad program that my school sponsors. I've already talked with my mom, and even if it would delay my graduation even further, we've both decided that it's completely worth it. I have to apply by February for one of four spots, which is pretty disconcerting, even considering that my Japanese grade is one of the best at our level. We'll see how it goes, though~ | |
